Sensory Friendly Hours
Sunday, July 21st from 8 – 10 am
Thinkery is committed to providing an accessible and interactive experience for all. During Sensory Friendly Hours, Thinkery extends a special invitation to learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other special needs to explore Thinkery with their families.
A typical visit to Thinkery can be challenging for those who feel overwhelmed by large crowds and excessive stimuli. In acknowledgment of this, the galleries will be modified to reduce extra stimuli and ticket sales will be limited to reduce crowding.
In addition to exclusive museum access, Thinkery partners with amazing organizations to provide fun, hands-on activities and tailored information:
Theater arts and improv games with Joshua’s Stage
Storytime provided by Spark Learning
Piano performance by Hurley Piano
Engaging activities and helpful resources for children and families affected by autism with Variety, the children’s charity of Texas, the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Blue Sprig Pediatrics, Behavioral Innovations and Autism Society of Texas.
