We are partnering with Texas Parent to Parent along with Easterseals and TXSER (Texans For Special Ed Reform) for an Advocacy 101 event!

Texas Capitol, Room E1.010
To assist parents and self-advocates as the Legislative Session begins!
Please join our collaborative event!
Arrive at 9:00 AM (or later) to hearing room E1.010. We will practice visiting offices.
At 12:30 PM, again in E1.010, is our ‘mock’ bill hearing where you may testify on the issue of your choice. Note: we will be sensitive to parents who must leave in time to retrieve kids from school.
The parking garage’s address is 1201 San Jacinto (entrance is on 12th street, FYI).
From I-35, exit at 12th street. Drive west on 12th for three blocks. As soon as you pass Trinity Street, on your right will be a pink “Capitol Public Parking” garage. The first two hours are free.
After parking, walk west 1 block to the Capitol building.
Once inside, take an elevator down to E1, and follow signs to E1.010. Note the Capitol Grille is also on E1, if you need food or beverage.
