Welcome to our Spring Interns!


We are thrilled to have three part time interns this Spring assisting us in various areas! We know they are going to be a great asset to Autism Society of  Texas!

Meredyth Alexander, Advocacy Intern

Meredyth received her M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015, and is now working toward her Ph.D. She is a disability rights advocate in the Texas Partners in PolicyMaking class graduating in April 2018. She is a parent advocate of an 8-year-old son with autism. Meredyth is steadfast in her pursuit of public policymaking support of disability rights for all Texans living with autism. She is eager to collaborate with stakeholders and rally support over critical legislation for autism as an advocacy intern. She loves writing, photography, yoga, and documentary filmmaking. Carolina Sarria, Intern

Carolina grew up in League City, Texas, where she attended Clear Creek High School. She is now studying International Relations & Global Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She enjoys reading, dancing, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and is excited to be interning at the Autism Society of Texas. Carolina has a younger brother, Alejandro, who is on the spectrum. They enjoy doing activities together such as watching movies, taking walks in the park, and eating ice cream. Tiffany Williams, Intern

Tiffany is studying Sociology at the University of St. Edward’s and will graduate in May 2018. She enjoys being outdoors with her two dogs, going to the movies, and learning! She is excited about working on advocacy, awareness & acceptance, and upcoming events. Tiffany’s past experiences include interning for Victim Services at The Office of The Governor in Austin, Texas and has also volunteered for the Girls’ Empowerment Network in Austin, Texas.
