Austin Autism Girls Group
The Autism Society of Texas and ACES are bringing girls on the spectrum together to connect and form friendships! Our Austin group has two age groups that meet at the same time, but break into smaller groups. The younger girls group is for those 6 – 12 years old and the older girls group is for ages 13-17. Girls who are 12 & 13 are welcome to join the younger or older girls group -whichever they are more comfortable with. Most events are free or have an optional payment (if meeting somewhere like a cafe or restaurant), and during our group time, we will be doing different activities such as: games, museum visits, exercise and wellness, cooking, crafting, or simply hanging out! We ask that parents & caregivers do not drop off your child but rather join us as we will not be babysitting or providing therapy during group time. We want this to be a fun and safe space for girls on the spectrum and our dream is that we can keep this going for a long time. Join us!
