A Day at the Capitol with MAMMA
Mothers Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism

Join us!!

WHO: Texas parents of children with special needs who might benefit from whole plant medical cannabis.

WHAT: MAMMA is organizing a day at the Capitol to advocate for our kids medical freedom and our right as parents to treat their condition with whole plant medical cannabis.

WHEN: February 14th. Come anytime between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

WHERE: We have a meeting room on the 3rd floor of the capitol: room 3E.4. (map attached)

WHY: SB269 is a comprehensive medical cannabis bill that includes autism as a qualifying condition. The attached meme is a beautiful Texas girl whose parents utilize medical cannabis (illegally) to calm her violent rages. The before and after pictures are why we all need this bill to pass intact.

HOW: We will assemble small teams of moms & dads to visit and educate all the Senators who are on the Health and Human Services Committee and more. Telling our stories to the Senators (or their staff) is the most important part of this day.

If possible, please bring a picture of your child with age, diagnosis, and your contact details on the back to share with staffers (bring copies to hand out). You may also bring a written testimonial if you so desire, but it’s not necessary as we’re assembling packets to give to each office we visit.

This is an exciting time to live in Texas! Senator Menendez, who authored SB269, has asked us to rally the troops and we are happy to do so.

Please RSVP to AmyLou Fawell – and let me know if you can make it … If you can’t make it on the 14th, but would like to go on another day, we can help!
