The Blanton Museum of Art, located on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin, is the primary art collection for the city of Austin. Home to “Austin” by Ellsworth Kelly and more than 19,000 other works, the Blanton showcases art from across the ages, from ancient Greek pottery to abstract expressionism. With a year-round schedule of temporary exhibitions, art lovers are sure to discover new and old favorites at the Blanton.

Accessible and convenient parking is located in the Brazos Garage next door to the museum. We will meet at the front, I will be holding a sign with the Autism Society logo, then enter the museum together. We will not need to pay admission. However, we will need to check in at the Visitor Services desk before going inside. As it is the third Thursday of the month, the museum’s hours are 10am – 9pm.
The Blanton Café offers sandwiches, gourmet flat bread pizzas, salads, signature desserts, and of course, coffee drinks. If you plan to purchase food or drinks, please arrange to cover your own costs.
