We’ve been selected as one of the “Official Charity Partners” again for the Austin Marathon’s charitable giving program, Austin Gives! The Austin Marathon is on April 25, 2021! Mark your calendar, get your running (or walking) shoes on, and sign up to represent Autism Society of Texas, or volunteer at our aid station! If you’d like to support #TeamAutism, choose the marathon, half marathon, or 5K!
COVID-19 PLANS: THE AUSTIN MARATHON ORGANIZERS HAVE A NUMBER OF COVID-19 SAFETY PLANS IN PLACE, AS WELL AS THE OPTION TO DEFER YOUR EVENT UNTIL 2022. AT OUR AID STATION WE WILL WEAR MASKS, SOCIAL DISTANCE, & FOLLOW ALL LOCAL, STATE & FEDERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS.
We need approximately 100 volunteers for our Aid Station along the marathon route in Austin on 4/25/21. Age 12 & up please! We’ll be pouring & handing out drinks to runners. Please sign up using our interest list and we will contact you approximately one month before the event with shift times, our aid station location, and how to register to get your volunteer t-shirt!
Please consider making a donation to Autism Society of Texas or one of our team members! Donate here.
How to sign up for the marathon:
- Select & sign up for your marathon event on the Austin Marathon page here.
- Go to the charity page and select us here.
Form a Workplace, Corporate, or Friends & Family Team! Register by 2/28/21.
Do you own a business or work somewhere that would like to start a team? Would you like to run in honor of someone with friends & family? A team must have at least 3 members, and commit to raising $1500 collectively. Email Kate@texasautismsociety.org to sign up as a team. If your team achieves the $1500 goal one month before event, we will customize your drifit tees with company or personalized name. Individual incentives above also apply to team members but team tee will be substituted for the #TeamAutism tee.
What does it mean to run for the Autism Society of Texas?
You will be running for a cause, to raise funds to improve the lives of all affected by autism, locally. We can help match you up with someone from our team if you’d like a running/walking partner, but you’re also free to go solo! There is no team obligation other than participating in the event itself!
Not a runner yet?
