The Destination…Life Regional Transition Fair and Conference helps Central Texas families
prepare and support their student(s) with disabilities for life beyond high school. Families can
expect to gather information and gain access to experts on how to help their student(s) with
disabilities ranging from early childhood through high school to successfully transition to

In response to the pandemic, the 2021 fair and conference will be a virtual experience on
Saturday, March 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Immediately preceding the event, at 9 a.m.,
participants can tune-in for an instructional presentation about using the Zoom meeting system.

At 9:30 a.m., families will have access to virtual presentations and Q&A sessions with
professionals and specialists in their fields. There will be sessions available in English and

Participants will learn about:
● community resources to support the transition from high school
● colleges and training programs
● employment services
● options for independent living
● guardianship and alternatives
● how to apply for certain benefits at age 18

Service providers from:
● state, local and county agencies
● group homes
● disability-related nonprofit and for-profit companies
● financial/legal planners
● colleges and job training programs
The Destination…Life Regional Transition Fair and Conference is made possible through the
cooperation of special education educators from Austin, Eanes, Georgetown, Hutto, Lake
Travis, Leander, Pflugerville, and Round Rock Independent School Districts and the East
Williamson County Cooperative (Coupland, Granger, Taylor, and Thrall Independent School

virtual sessions.
