The Austin Family Support Cooperative Meetings are held to inform and support families of children and adults with disabilities. The meetings combine workshops and group support to share information about issues, trends, therapies, strategies and resources that families may find useful. Presentations for January 2016 include behavior, sibling support information, changes in Medicaid, self-care and ADHD. There is something for all parents/guardians who are raising a child with special needs.
Community partners for the Family Support Cooperative include Austin Independent School District, Austin Travis County Integral Care, Easter Seals of Central Texas and the Arc of the Capital Area. There will be various community partners sharing their resources at this event!
Spanish language interpreters are available.
Light refreshments and registration begin at 6 p.m
