Looking for some motivation? Check out our Reinforcement 101 workshop presented by Rebecca Ryan. This event is free and open to the community. Please share if you know a parent, teacher, or caregiver who might be interested. Refreshments will be served. Please R.S.V.P. to jessi@sandboxaba.com.

When discussing the importance of reinforcement often parents and teachers alike will comment that reinforcement doesn’t work because there is nothing that the child finds to be reinforcing.   Often this is not accurate; there are lots of potential reinforcers but children are receiving them for free.”

This training will cover the basics of the role of reinforcement in the development of skills and decreasing interfering behaviors. We will focus on the importance of contingency and how to apply it in the natural environment. Finally, we will also cover the development of reinforcers that can be usable by parents and caregivers.
