Moms and dads, siblings, other family members, friends, and guardians of children and adults with special needs are connected to a supportive community! Because there’s no manual or one-size-fits-all way to help family members navigate schools, doctors, organizations, and so on, it’s helpful to share questions and experiences with others in the same boat.
The South Austin Support Meeting is a place for parents, guardians, friends, and family to come together; engage with one another’s stories, successes, challenges, and questions; and build community.
Meeting attendees don’t have to prepare anything at all. Topics can include communication, school, family interactions, therapies, insurance, jobs, and other things. The conversation goes along depending on the interests and needs of meeting guests.
