April 9, 2020 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
It’s important for parents, family members, and guardians of children and adult individuals with special needs to know and be connected with the supportive community around them. There’s no manual or one-size-fits-all way to help family members navigate schools, doctors, organizations, and so on.
The South Austin Support Meeting is a place for parents, guardians, and family members to come together; share stories, successes, challenges, and questions; and build community. Meeting guests don’t have to prepare anything at all. Topics covered can include communication, schooling, family interactions, therapies, insurance, jobs, and so on. The conversation goes along depending on the interests and needs of meeting guests.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the April 2020 meeting will take place online. For instructions, contact the group’s facilitator, Lynn Cowles at 512-522-3220 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Hope to see you (virtually) soon!
