Region 13 is excited to announce that Dr. Lauren Kenworthy is coming to Texas. Dr. Kenworthy is the author of Unstuck & On Target: An Executive Function Curriculum to Improve Flexibility for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her presentation in Texas will focus on an intervention framework looking at executive functioning (EF) for students with autism, including strategies that you can use immediately. Goals for participants in this workshop include:
• identify executive functioning weaknesses in students and distinguish among different EF skills,
• list specific techniques to support improvement in EF at home or at school,
• identify scripts or vocabulary and when to use them to increase EF skills, and
• summarize the research results examining the effectiveness of an EF intervention
If you are in the area, please make plans to join us. If you are not able to come to Austin, we are offering the workshop to you via Livestream (online). To join us you will need an Ecampus account and an internet connection.
Registration will open soon.
